Update: Tyler murder suspect in critical condition after shooting self

TYLER (KYTX) - A 70 year old Tyler was shot dead in her apartment Tuesday afternoon, and the suspect in her death is in critical condition after trying to take her own life. CBS 19's Hayley Wielgus was on the scene today, at 118 South Beverly Avenue, near downtown.

Tyler Investigators were informed by East Texas Medical Center staff around 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 01, 2010 that Alice Aguilar died as a result of her self-inflicted gunshot wound.
